Meet Burnie the Australian Labradoodle

Burnie is a puppy from Summer’s second litter with us.  He is now about 17 months old and lives in Oklahoma with his family. Notice how gorgeously deep red Burnie’s coat has remained.  Actually, he has gotten darker as he has grown. Summer always has such beautiful puppies (and I also always say that she is such a fantastic mom)!

Burnie’s family told me this story that I would like to share.

“We were walking Burnie when a man stopped his truck and said, “That is not an Oklahoma dog! We don’t have dogs on Oklahoma like that. What did you do, get him off the Internet? I’ve never seen a dog with that color and type coat before. He doesn’t even walk like an Oklahoma dog!” (Burnie prances like a show dog when he goes for a walk on the leash.)  People say things like this to me all the time, but this guy was so funny about it.”
