Here at Ashford Manor, we stress the importance of positive play with your puppy.  We do NOT encourage such activities as “tug-of-war” and other “games” that will teach your puppy aggression.  Puppies are not born aggressive, but learn this trait through inappropriate play and bad interaction with other dogs.  It is important to be on guard when introducing your puppy to other dogs.  If either dog shows behavior of fear or annoyance at the meeting, it is best to remove your puppy from the situation.  You are your puppy’s greatest influence, so it is important that you protect and teach them the proper ways to interact and handle the many different situations they will face in life.
