Fireworks Safety For Your Dog

It is that time of year again that many dogs and dog owners do not like! Here are a few things to remember in keeping your dogs healthy and safe through another holiday season.

FireworksFirework safety

  • Keep pets indoors
  • Don’t bring dogs to firework shows as even the calmest dogs may get spooked
  • Walk dogs before dark
  • Keep cats inside
  • When outdoors, keep dogs on a leash and under the control of a responsible adult
  • Keep windows and doors closed
  • Play soft music or turn on a television show to help mask the sound of fireworks

Cookouts

It’s always best to keep pets on their regular diet. Fatty meats can cause serious illness such as pancreatitis. Onion,
